first beach day of 2008!

its too hot to post a picture, but rest assured the scenery was beautiful. mom kept saying how cute her beach babies were, but i'm not a baby i'm big. which is why i was both horrified and insulted that my mother made me pee in a hole in the sand. i tried to demand a potty, but to no avail. i held it in as long as i could, but to my dismay what goes in must come out and in the hole it went. boy did i feel better after that. but next time mom better figure something out because people shouldnt pee outside!! when its not so hot i will write again. i'm going to take a nap in some air conditioning!!

a pirates life for me!!

hey there me hardies! mom and dad took us to the heritage museums and gardens yesterday and there was a pirate exhibit there. that was pretty awesome and also there was a carousel and i love those. mom and dad poorly timed the trip to be during my usual nap time AND brought the single instead of the double stroller. so to punish them for that rookie mistake, jack and i took turns crying and complaining so that no single minute was left unscathed. and to mix things up a bit jack pooped through three sets of clothes and i demanded to be carried the whole time. it was fun times. next time they will have learned their lesson, and plus we will get to feed the fish at the hatchery after.

summer is coming soon! and that means a ride on thomas the train!! i keep telling mom "buy a ticket! buy a ticket!!" once when we were at the park on townhouse rd, i heard a train whistle. i couldnt see it, but i knew it was there. mom said it wasnt the riding kind of train, but the kind that carries trash. then we saw the train at the dump so i guess she wasnt lying. but everytime i go to that park it reminds me that we need to get a ticket for thomas!! i will definately blog about that.
mom says i have to go clean up my mess now. i hate that! i know right where everything is when i layer it throughout the house!

hey there!! long time no blog!
it's been about a year since i last blogged. i've been really busy learning to talk, count, and my abc's. oh and also i have a new brother now. his name is jack. he was in my mom's belly for a long time, (i never did find out how he got in there), and he came out on february 29th 2008. mom says he only gets a birthday every four years. he has funny hair and he cries alot. he smiles at me because he loves me. and when he grows up he will play dinosaurs with me and i cant wait for that.

in other big news, i now wear undies!! i have all different kinds and i am really good at keeping them dry and mom and dad are really proud of me.

the spirits got the beat?

my mom took some pictures of me in music class and is convinced that she captured ghosts. there was some skeptisism from grandma and the guy at the camera place, (what is closed-minded by the way?), so mom took more pictures at another class and more ghosties came up! she wouldnt let me post them thought because we didn't ask permission from the other kids in the pictures. mom sent the pics to cape cod ghost hunters and they want to do an investigation!!! i'll keep you posted.

bubbles!!!

today i learned how to blow bubbles! its really fun! i like to try to catch them and pick them up. i still need to practice that part.

i really like to wear daddy's hat. i can put it on by myself and dad thinks its so cute! i am definately getting to be a big girl! i'm quite proud of myself.

good times!

lately i have been getting a bit stir crazy in our little apartment. so i grab my boots and stand by the door yelling "bye-bye!!!!" until mom gets the hint. today when i demanded to go somewhere mom took me to the mall. we didn't even bring my stroller. i got to hold mom's hand and walk because i'm such a big girl. we went to a store that smelled really good and mom used plastic money to buy me a new duck. i love ducks. i love trains too and mom put me in one and it ate some quarters and i got a ride!! then we saw dogs and birds and bunnies. i saw a little hamster running in a wheel and it was so funny!! mom and i sat at a table and shared munchins and had coffee and juice. the mall is so big and sometimes we stopped in front of a store to boogie to the music. finally i got to ride on the carousel which i love the most. its always disappointing when it stops and my turn is over, but mom said we can come back again soon and i beleive her.

i'm a mini-teenager

it all started a few weeks ago with my obsession with my black boots. now i also really love jewelry. and doing my hair. but mom said i cant wear a mini-skirt until i'm 30. maybe i'll ask when i'm out of diapers.

happy anniversary to us!

kitty and i celebrated our first anniversary yesterday. i love him. and i love his mysteriously appearing twin who appears to have had just as many hugs and tail rubs. weird. i love them both equally though. MWUAH!

my easter eggs-travaganza!

today i hunted my very first easter eggs. it was so fun! i got to sit on the easter bunny's lap and everything! i cant wait until he comes to my house. maybe i should have mom buy some carrots to leave out for him.

i had a grand old time playing at "boopa's" house today. uncle tim let me play with all his cars and trucks. i even kissed a rhinocerus. i'm all about breaking gender roles. i refuse to be defined by girlish stereotypes.

i finally decided it was time to get up on my own two feet. its not so bad once you get the hang of it.


to celebrate i got a cool pair of sneakers that light up when i walk. i'm stylin. i've done a lot of soul searching and i think i'm ready make an oath.


i, mackenzie jane, swear to from this day forward to always put one step in front of the other and walk around when i want to go places. unless i fall down and there is no furniture nearby, in which case i will crawl to the nearest thing to pull up on and try again. unless in the event i find something interesting to play with instead. but other then that i will walk.

it's been awhile!

my grandma keeps asking when i will update my blog. i've been meaning too, but you know how it is. i get ready to post and i get distracted with the wiggles or my toys. i also have been doing quite a bit of reading lately. i just got through "twinkle, twinkle little star" and reread an old favorite, "goodnight moon."
i have recently taken up a new sport, walking, which has taken up a bit of energy and tired me out. i just cut a new tooth as well. now i have seven. maybe now i'll eat something other than cheese and yogurt. we'll see.
